Criminal Justice Zone

Been looking into switching majors and got interested in Criminal Justice. Does this essentially mean that all i can become is a “beat cop” with a little better salary or what other job opportunities does it offer for a BA degree.

I think people might have criminology confused with criminal justice when I ask about them. Does a bachelors in criminology have a lot of jobs or all the jobs in criminal justice?

I really like keeping up with news, etc, and I’m also trained to handle combative situations, however I do not want to be a police officer because of the hours and the inherit dangers, but I really like studying behavior, criminology, and law. Just wondering what I could do with a bachelor’s(or higher) in criminal justice or criminology? Thanks!

What are the legitimate and non legitimate needs of individual during their police contact, cout hearing or confinement? How effective is the system in fulfilling the legitimate needs and preventing the illegitmate needs.
