Can a person work in the criminal justice field if convicted of a DUI found not guilty for murder?

Can a person work in the criminal justice field(corrections, parole, probation, attorney, or any law enforcement capacity) , if being convicted of a DUI going on trial for murder but being found not guilty disqualifies them from being a police officer?
