i just graduated from high school and i am enrolling into a community college for 2 years for liberal arts, which is the pre-requisites** i believe. Then i am to transfer to a 4 year college to take up the major. Is there any fields that fit my description of hands on action and great pay. I also understand to standout in the criminal justice field you have to advance or get other skills to have your chances to be selected greater. thanks

If you are wanting to be in criminal justice with hands on work, you really don’t need a degree. What you need to do in contact your local and state police/corrections agencies and ask about their academies. The process is this…get hired, go to the academy (4-6 mo.), start on the job training/probationary status, and then become a permanent employee.
If you do want to go to school, you could pursue a job in criminal justice but work somewhere in the lab or in a skilled position. This is up to you.
Overall, if you want a hands on job in law enforcement, you need to pay your dues.
