What are your thoughts on the criminal justice system?

Alright ladies and gentlemen, i would like to hear or better said, read your thoughts on the United States’ criminal justice system. What do you expect from the police, courts and corrections? How or why are your expectations unfulfilled and how can they be satisfied? (i need some pointers for a paper)…Thanks =)
