What is a good Criminal Justice Topic to talk about besides the Death Penalty?

I need to choose a topic for my prepared speaking competition and it has to deal with the Criminal Justice system. I can’t choose the death penalty because it is already taken. Any ideas? It has to be something that will catch the interest of all people and maybe a little controversial just to spice things up!
